| The CERT-WM operates as an overarching entity for all 21 water authorities in the Netherlands, supplemented by two hydraulic laboratories, the Unie van Waterschappen, and Het Waterschapshuis. We collaborate closely with Rijkswaterstaat's security center for the water sector. The Minister of Justice and Security has designated us as the sectoral CERT for the water sector. We are part of the national crisis management framework (NCSC / NCTV) and a component of the National Coverage System (for sectoral CERTs). Affiliated constituents report their incidents to CERT-WM. Coordination for cross-authority threats is managed by CERT-WM, for which we have designated contact persons with whom we frequently consult.
