 Handelsbanken SIRT is the global Security Incident Response Team from the Handelsbanken group. The team has been created as a part of the IT-security department.

The IT-security department is appointed the responsibility for IT-security in Handelsbanken by the CIO of the company.

Handelsbanken SIRT is the main entry point for the processing of vulnerabilities notifications targeting the whole Group Information System.

Our mission is to conduct computer network defense operations against external adversaries who disclose, degrade, or deny Handelsbanken information.

Actions led by the SIRT as part of this mission are the following:
* collect and aggregate vulnerabilities
* qualify information and define a severity level
* alert and help the relevant correspondents involved into the issues

This service allows security correspondents to gain knowledge about the new vulnerabilities impacting their perimeter in order to deploy security fixes or mitigation measures.
